Greenland
“By December an elastic skin of ice reached out hundreds of miles into the sea, rolling with every wave.”
— Will Chancellor, A Brave Man Seven Storeys Tall
Greenland is one of breathtaking places, i have ever been. Huge mountains and glaciers, beautiful views and non-standard cuisine, a peaceful and self-sufficient population. All this is Greenland.
Food

One of the most delisious dish in Greenland is lamb. All Greenlandic lamb comes from the farms that dot South Greenland, and when you bite into its juicy meat – preferably seasoned with rosemary and Arctic thyme and then slow-roasted – you are tasting a unique delicacy.

Reindeer is incredibly tender and flavourful steak meat is a staple in most restaurants. At Hereford Beefstouw in Hotel Hans Egede in Nuuk, a 225 g reindeer mignon graces the menu and will not leave you hungry.

Greenlandic Coffee. The perfect night cap to any festive affair – be that in a lodge in the fjord or at the country’s finest table – is this dangerlously yummy mixture of whisky, Kahlua, Grand Marnier and whipped cream. And oh, a spot of coffee.
The best thing, to my mind, that еhe inhabitants of Greenland are good-natured and hospitable people, I could not find a hotel, I asked a local resident, and he invited me to stay with him for a couple of days. This is great news, because I can save more money for further travels. Tomorrow I will be going up the mountains with a guide, wait for a new post with the beauties of nature filmed on my camera, but for now, all good night!)
